Living in the heart of RTP

DAVIS PARK

Each week I plan to highlight a new or existing community that you may or may not have heard of. This first one is a very special neighborhood that is barely out of the ground and I feel is a great investment opportunity that I want to share with you. First, this is the brainchild of East-West Builders – the same wonderful group that brought us Meadowmont Village in Chapel Hill/Durham. Like Meadowmont, a complete lifestyle is planned with small shops, restaurants and city parks. There will be bike paths, walking trails, tree-lined streets and, have I mentioned this – all in the heart of Research Triangle Park! Lofts, condos and rowhouses only ranging in price from a one-bedroom condo for $169,000 (1050 sq. ft.) up to over $400,000 for a rowhouse. The UNC Wellness Center has committed to build a 45,000 sq. ft. facility that is schedule to be finished in 18 months. Presently there are 8 condos for purchase (available for move-in estimated late May, 2007), one townhome complete ready to move in now with more coming in May and April and the lofts are slated to begin construction in May. The lofts have assigned parking and storage. First floor lofts can choose painted or stained cement floors and exposed cooling and heating ducts are an option for those who really want that loft look. Pricing for the lofts ranges from $189,900 to $388,000. There are a limited number of investment units and the rest are to be owner occupied for one year. Already there are homebuyers who work at BASF, Nortel, IBM, Credit Suisse and Fidelity Investments to name a few. I can’t promise the same incredible rise in equity that Meadowmont has seen over the last few years but this is a ground floor opportunity, in the heart of the Research Triangle! All units have granite countertops standard and are upscale in so many ways. To learn more about this remarkable community and how you can Live Life in the Park, just ask! I’d be glad to provide any information you might need because I bought one of these units for my daughter (and I can tell you, many of my realtor friends have also done the same which I think speaks for itself ). Don’t miss out on this and two or three years from now be saying, “Why didn’t I do that in the beginning?”
